Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Satori Cloud, including the websites, publishing tools and related services we provide.

Last updated: 27 August 2026

Please note: this template is provided for general informational purposes and should be reviewed by a qualified legal professional before you rely on it as your final customer contract.

1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of Satori Cloud ("Satori Cloud", "we", "us" or "our").

By creating an account, connecting a third-party service, using Satori Cloud, or otherwise accessing the Service, you agree to these Terms.

If you are using Satori Cloud on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

2. The Satori Cloud Service

Satori Cloud is a software service that helps organisations publish selected content from services such as Atlassian Confluence as externally accessible websites, documentation, knowledge bases and other published experiences.

Features may include connecting a Confluence workspace, selecting content, synchronising content, previewing a website, applying branding, configuring visibility and publishing content to a Satori Cloud URL or custom domain.

We may add, change, improve or remove features over time. During early access, beta or preview periods, features may change more frequently and may be incomplete.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for providing accurate account information and for keeping your login credentials secure.

You must not share credentials in a way that enables people who are not authorised by you to access your account.

You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless that activity results from a security failure caused by us.

You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised or accessed without permission.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content that you connect, upload, synchronise or publish using Satori Cloud ("Your Content").

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to access, copy, process, store, transform and display Your Content only to the extent reasonably necessary to provide, secure and operate the Service.

This licence ends when the relevant content is deleted from the Service, subject to reasonable backup, security and legal retention requirements.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions required to use and publish Your Content through Satori Cloud.

We do not claim ownership of Your Content merely because it is processed by Satori Cloud.

5. Confluence and Third-Party Services

Satori Cloud may integrate with third-party platforms including Atlassian Confluence.

Your use of those platforms remains subject to the terms, policies and availability of the relevant third party.

Satori Cloud is not Atlassian Confluence and is not responsible for changes, outages, restrictions, API limitations or other issues caused by third-party services.

By connecting a third-party account, you authorise Satori Cloud to access the information and permissions made available through that connection for the purpose of providing the Service.

You may disconnect an integration where the Service provides that functionality.

6. Acceptable Use

You must use Satori Cloud lawfully and responsibly.

You must not use the Service to:

  • publish content that you do not have the right to publish;
  • infringe intellectual property, privacy or other legal rights;
  • distribute malware, malicious code or harmful software;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to Satori Cloud or another user's account;
  • interfere with the security, availability or performance of the Service;
  • use automated methods to overload, scrape or abuse the Service;
  • use Satori Cloud for unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive activity; or
  • attempt to reverse engineer, circumvent or defeat technical restrictions except where applicable law expressly permits it.

We may restrict or suspend access where we reasonably believe use of the Service creates a security, legal or operational risk.

7. Published Websites and Visibility

Satori Cloud allows you to make selected content available to external readers.

You are responsible for deciding which content should be published and who should be able to access it.

You should not publish confidential, personal, regulated or commercially sensitive information unless you have determined that the visibility and access settings you are using are appropriate for that information.

Where a site is configured as publicly accessible, anyone with access to the relevant URL may be able to view its content.

Search engines and other third parties may index publicly accessible content unless appropriate controls are enabled.

You are responsible for reviewing published content after changes to source content, integrations, settings or permissions.

8. Fees and Paid Services

Some parts of Satori Cloud may be offered free of charge, while other features may require a paid subscription.

Where you purchase a paid plan, the applicable price, billing period and included features will be shown before you subscribe or otherwise agreed with you.

Unless stated otherwise, subscription fees are charged in advance and are exclusive of any applicable taxes.

If a subscription automatically renews, you may cancel renewal before the next billing date. Cancellation does not normally result in a refund for a billing period that has already begun, except where required by law or expressly agreed otherwise.

We may change pricing in the future. Changes to an existing paid subscription will be communicated before they take effect.

9. Availability, Changes and Early Access

We aim to provide a reliable Service, but we do not guarantee that Satori Cloud will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.

Maintenance, third-party outages, infrastructure issues, security events and other circumstances may temporarily affect availability.

Features described as beta, preview, experimental or early access may contain defects and may be changed or withdrawn without the same notice that would normally apply to a fully released feature.

You should maintain appropriate copies of important source content. Satori Cloud should not be treated as your sole system of record or backup service unless we expressly agree otherwise.

10. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using Satori Cloud at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay applicable charges, create a serious security or legal risk, or use the Service in a way that may harm Satori Cloud, its infrastructure, its users or third parties.

Where reasonably possible, we will give you an opportunity to remedy a breach before terminating your account.

Following termination, published websites associated with your account may become unavailable and we may delete stored copies of Your Content after a reasonable retention period.

You are responsible for exporting or retaining any information you need before your account is closed.

11. Warranties and Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Satori Cloud is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

We do not guarantee that the Service will meet every specific requirement, that publication will always be uninterrupted, or that third-party integrations will remain available.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of anticipated savings, loss of goodwill, or loss caused by content that you choose to publish.

Where permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of:

  • the amount you paid to us for the Service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
  • £100 where you have not paid us for the Service.

Nothing in this section limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot legally be limited.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, except where applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to Satori Cloud, applicable law or the way we operate the Service.

If we make a material change, we will take reasonable steps to notify affected users.

Continued use of the Service after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those updated Terms.
